Objetivo/Impacto

Aspiracional:

p.ej. El acceso y uso de internet en América Latina será ampliamente equitativo, con un enfoque particular en garantizar que las personas en situación de vulnerabilidad y tradicionalmente marginadas puedan participar plenamente en la vida digital y acceder a oportunidades.

Internet access and use in Latin America will be broadly equitable, with a particular focus on ensuring that vulnerable and traditionally marginalized people can fully participate in digital life and access opportunities.

Impacto de Al Sur:

Al Sur' standing as a major force in pushing for equal access of internet as a human right for everyone, with focus on the participation of vulnerable and traditionally marginalized people, and Al Sur's impact on policy decisions across the region, is clearly consolidated and recognized.

2025: Al Sur members met with 5 key stakeholders and influenced on decisions

Example:

2023:

i) Identify individuals within Al Sur that want to participate in a working group to analyze internet access and digital divides in Latin America.

ii) Stablish the working group and organize at least two meetings during the year.

iii) Identify funding sources

iv) Comission a policy paper about digital divides in Latin America and strategic forums to promote advocacy.

v) Generate a internal discussion and presentation of results and publish a set of recommendation from Al Sur.

vi) Identify and make first contacts with forums that are discussing internet access.

vii) Stablish a funding strategy for 2024 and 2025
