Al Sur and its members have clearly influenced the adoption of appropiate principles for content moderation and platform regulations by Governments and Big Tech companies strenghtening the exercise of the right to freedom of expression on the internet.

Las organizaciones de AlSur tienen propuestas sólidas para incorporar la responsabilidad de autoridades publicas en la conversación sobre libertad de expresión en internet. Evidence of citations or practical use of the Al Sur guide in other documents.	2023: Al Sur organizará una mesa de trabajo sobre libertad de expresión para elaborar una guía.2023: Al Sur will organize a working group on freedom of expression to elaborate a guide. 2023: Al Sur habrá publicado una "guía" sobre las responsabilidades de las autoridades públicas, ampliamente aplicable en toda LatAm basada en investigaciones anteriores. 2023: Al Sur will have published a "guide" to the responsibilities of public authorities, broadly applicable across LatAm based in previous research. 2024 - 2025: Specific proposals will have been developed for countries where the actions of public authorities are most problematic.	2023: i) Identify individuals within Al Sur that want to participate in a working group on freedom of expression ii) Stablish the working group and organize at least two meetings during the year. iii) Identify funding sources iv) Organize internal discussions and deliberate on Al Sur´s perspectives about content moderation, freedom of expression and tensions with data protection v) Comission a guide based in previous research made by Al Sur with recommendations vi) Generate a learning session related with freedom of expression and content moderation viii) Stablish a funding strategy for 2024 and 2025
Las organizaciones de Alsur logran posicionar sus miradas y perspectivas sobre libertad de expresión e internet en foros internacionales. (validada) The views and perspectives of Al Sur members on matters of freedom of expression and the Internet are (frequently and effectively) heard in international forums.	Number of participations of Al Sur members in major LatAm and global forums. Invitations of international organizations to participate in events and LatAm and global forums.
